Operation Mom's foundation is based upon two fundamental principles, the active care and support of our military members and their families at home. In addressing the first of the two, support for our military members, Service Projects deals directly with their physical, emotional and recreational needs.
Drop-Off Locations provide a way where our community can be indirectly involved in supporting our troops by donating items such as snacks, hygiene products, socks, books, cards, and the list goes on. The locations are conveniently found and the items are collected weekly to be packaged and sent to our military members throughout the world. Wherever our troops are stationed, their needs will be provided for.
Care Packages provide a way where our community can be directly involved in supporting our troops by donating their time to package "Little Touch of Home" box's for our military members. This is a way to personalize your care and support for them, and a wonderful way for our troops to know they are appreciated.
Coupons To Troops Our military families are limited to doing their shopping for groceries and household items at the Commissaries and Post Exchanges on base, where prices are much more expensive than you will find in our stores in the U.S. Both the Commissaries and Post Exchanges allow the use of manufacturer's coupons up to 6 months past their expiration date. In other words, a coupon with the expiration date of January 31st can be used overseas until July 31st. Our military families who are stationed overseas do not have easy access to the Sunday newspapers like we do here, so they are very appreciative of any coupons that are sent their way.
