The Scholarship program was started in 1990. Funds are raised from food sales. The money is then given to the child of a veteran who plans on going to college.
Family members of the VVGSQ are not eligible for the scholarship. Contact your High School for application. Deadline is in May. Award winners receive their awards at a luncheon in June.
This is the Vietnam Veterans Group of San Quentin, California. They are honorably discharged veterans, many of them heroes, having won medals for courage and valor under fire and having been wounded in battle.
While they are currently incarcerated for events following their military service, we honor them for their service to our country, and their continued service to families and children who are recipients of their generous awards they provide as a military family scholarship.
They truly have a heart for military veterans and their families, and we are proud to partner with them and to have a relationship with each and every one of their members!
We support military families, friends of their families and their loved ones serving for this country!
